Welcome to the first of our monthly newsletters.

Recently we’ve been told by clients that they would like to hear from us regularly, sharing information that we feel will be of interest or benefit for them. With this request comes the birth of our monthly newsletters, we hope that you can find the time to read them.

If there is something that we feel beneficial to share with you outside of our regular monthly schedule, you may see an email from us in the newsletter format. The budget is due October 6th and is an excellent example of when we may want to send you something extra.

During the pandemic, we have been very fortunate that our offices in West Perth and Moora have been able to remain open. Our thoughts are with our fellow Australian’s who are not in the same unique position as us. We could never fully understand what it is like to be under the same restrictions that they have had to deal with without experiencing it ourselves, which we truly hope we never have to.

We have been kept very busy with the Government stimulus packages. There is much to read, absorb, dissect, and implement based on the directives given by the Government. It has been a steep learning curve with short time frames between rules set and actions required. We thank our staff for their continued dedication, ensuring they have the proper knowledge to assist you, our clients.

Not everything about COVID-19 has been negative. Western Australian’s have been given the incentive to go out and explore our amazing state. Our Facebook page has shown photos of our colleagues exploring furry-friendly locations of the South West, the vibrant Canola crops of the Wheatbelt, the red dirt of the Kimberley. WA is a beautiful place with so much to offer and what an opportunity we have to get out and see as much of it as we can!

Shortage of regional workers

It has been in the news. COVID-19 has created a shortage of employees in the agricultural, tourism and hospitality sectors throughout WA’s regional area. The up side to this is the short and long-term employment opportunities created for Western Australians. To assist these regional sectors our State Government has set up a support scheme to encourage people to travel and fill these roles.
